Loose cotton mops are polishing wheels made with cotton fabric discs joined in the centre. They provide gentle polishing action and are ideal for final finishing metal surfaces. Typically, they would be used with PV05 (off-white) polishing compound on non-ferrous metals and PV102 (pink) on stainless steel and ferrous metals. The nature of the un-stitched wheel structure makes them ideal; for polishing complex shapes. The small diameters (75-100mm) can be used on hand-held drills whilst the larger sizes are better suited to bench or pedestal polishers.Specification: Made with discs of cotton fabric. Centre bore reinforced with leather on larger sizes. Suitable for mounting on tapered spindles or parallel shafts with clamping flanges.
