Zirconium abrasive belts can be successfully used on portable belt sanders to grain metal such as stainless steel. Zirconium also far outlast aluminium oxide abrasive, especially on metal. These belts are made with heavy duty polyester backing that will resist tearing, when de-burring metal sheet edges for example.
