Digestor Gas Verification / Measurement

A recent visit to a Yorkshire Water site yielded a fantastic sreies of measurements. Firstly we measured flow on a 4" Stainless Steel Pipe at atmospheric pressure using the CTF878 TAG Corelation Flowmeter, the ability to measure flow clamped on the outside of the pipe without any need to break into the pipe, was a first a first in the Digestor Gas feild. We were verifying against a thermal mas meter which was fitted into the line. The ability to take a measurement outside of the pipe at low pressure ensures that accuracy is not comprimised, if the gas composition changes or indeed if the agressive H2S gas within the process attacks and affects the inline probe, This measurement can be used on Natural Gas, Digestor Gas and Air flow even at ambient pressure on metal pipes.
