Regrind Crank

The crankshaft undergoes high loading because of the fact it transforms the linear loading of the pistons into a usable rotational motion. In time it will undoutedly wear. Instead of replacing this relatively expensive forged item the surfaces are able to be reground. This regrinding is a specialized process as the grinding wheel has to travel horizontally whilst the crank rotates.
