Shearing

Shearing is the process of applying a high level of force to the point that the steel fails. This is ideal for cutting a sheet of steel parallel to an existing edge, but we are also able to cut angles in this way. The blades used are square edged and are traditionally made of low alloy steel and high-carbon steel. We offer sheared steel using our specialist steel cutters, available cut to custom sizes to suit your specifications.
