Baxter’s Hostel opened for the Festival

22-10-2014

Baxter’s, Edinburgh’s first ‘boutique hostel’ opened it’s doors to accommodate visitors in time for this summer’s festivals. Conveniently located in the heart of the city’s east end, on West Register Street between Waverley Rail Station, St Andrew’s Bus Station and Edinburgh’s new tram line, Baxter’s offers a unique blend of hostel flexibility and boutique exclusivity. The Baxter brothers have created in their own words a “slightly eccentric” place to stay, through their own hard work renovating this historic building over the past two years, and Baxter's Hostel The Metal Centre have assisted providing steelwork and bespoke furniture and fittings to Mike Baxter’s own design. Converting a listed structure in the heart of a World Heritage Site is never straightforward, however when there are bookings to accommodate for the start of the Festival, Blakes worked alongside Mike, 24/7 to deliver.
