Jonny leaving Blakes

Published July 2015 Boston Bound It is with mixed emotions that we announce that Technical Director Jonny Blake will be leaving us at the end of July for new challenges across the Atlantic. Jonny and family are returning to the Boston area where he will be picking up with his old colleagues at Ryan Ironworks, Raynham, MA. MD Ronnie said:- “While he won’t thank me for reminding him, Jonny’s presence at Blakes spans four decades from the late 1980’s and his tireless efforts and input, particularly during the toughest of trading environments of recent years, have placed the business on the firm footing we have today. All here at Blakes are going to miss Jonny but we wish him, Katie, Sarah and Joshua all the best on a fabulous adventure. Personally I can’t wait to visit and perhaps see how they do things Stateside at Ryan Ironworks!” Jonny commented:- “I have been extremely lucky to have met and worked with so many good people during my time with Blakes. The order book is looking good for the next 12 months and I hope that the work that I have pushed forward will help the Company to continue at the forefront of the metalwork and storage tank sectors. I’ll obviously be keeping an eye on events from the States and wish everyone at Blakes all the best for the future”. All of us wish Jonny and family all the best.
