The flexibility of the Morflex coupling is due to specially developed, resilient, non-cold-flow neoprene biscuits. The controlled displacement of the neoprene allows for relative movement between shafts. Preloading the biscuits during assembly enables them to accommodate significant deflection, even under light load.
