Fronius Datamanager 2.0: system monitoring has never been so easy

The Fronius Datamanager has been developed to deliver exactly what the customer needs. Ever since its launch in the middle of last year, this product for professional data management and system monitoring has become ever more popular. Fronius took this as an opportunity to create a new and even better version - the Fronius Datamanager 2.0 - which will be available soon. This article highlights the main innovations. The Modbus RTU interface (RS-485) allows a meter connection to the Fronius Smart Meter, which in turn permits self-consumption data to be recorded and displayed in the Fronius Solar.web online monitoring portal. The information this provides forms the basis on which household power consumption can be optimised. Alternatively, the interface allows for the easy integration of third party components into the system using Modbus RTU. A start-up wizard, which also enables activation via tablet and smartphone, has been developed for commissioning the Fronius Datamanager 2.0. In addition, commissioning does not require any knowledge of networking. The LAN and WLAN connection options not only offer the customer maximum flexibility when monitoring their system, but also result in major advantages for maintenance and servicing work. For example, during servicing the inverter can be connected directly to the internet via WLAN, through which the cause of the problem can be determined and - in many cases - rectified. An easier and more customer friendly device servicing experience simply does not exist. The Fronius Datamanager 2.0 is the perfect product for state-of-the-art system monitoring. The integration of the Fronius Solar.web, Fronius Solar.web App and Fronius Solar.TV monitoring platforms, as well as numerous interfaces, leaves nothing to be desired.
