Fronius is the solutions provider

2015 sees the quality leader bringing new innovations to the market. The Austrian inverter manufacturer is positioning itself as a solutions provider with products such as the Fronius Primo and Fronius Eco inverters, the Fronius Energy Package and the Fronius Datamanager 2.0. Be it for communication, energy management, storage or modernising PV systems, Fronius develops a variety of solutions. “Fronius is responding to market demand and becoming a solutions provider. That means we no longer just consider the individual product, but the solution as a whole. This is demonstrated by the innovations we will bring to the market in 2015, for instance,” explains Martin Hackl, head of the Solar Energy Division at Fronius International GmbH. Fronius Primo, the communicative inverter for optimised energy management The Fronius Primo inverter is scheduled for launch in the first quarter of 2015. The single-phase, transformerless device, available in power categories ranging from 3.0 to 8.2 kVA, is ideal for private households. The communications package integrated as standard contains a comprehensive energy management system as well as WLAN and a range of interfaces. Its Super Flex Design enables simple yet flexible system design on roofs with different orientations, for instance with roofs facing east/west. A newly developed MPP algorithm, Dynamic Peak Manager, ensures a dependable yield. IP 65 protection means it can be installed in unprotected indoor or outdoor areas. Fronius Energy Package – the storage solution for 24 hours of sun The goal of the Fronius Energy Package is to consume more of the self-generated PV power at source and to store surplus power for when it is needed. It is made up of the Fronius Symo Hybrid inverter, the Fronius Solar Battery and the Fronius Smart Meter, and is scheduled for launch in the first quarter of 2015. “The Fronius Energy Package is the only complete storage solution on the market,” states Franz Breitwieser, Product Manager. The biggest advantage over other storage solutions is how flexible the overall system is. Various energy flows are possible due to the Multi Flow technology. Fronius is the only provider that enables charging from both the DC and AC sides at the same time, which allows for the retrofitting of existing PV systems. “The Fronius Energy Package combines the latest storage technology with decades of battery handling know-how. This makes the Fronius storage solution the best on the market; a fact which makes us very proud,” enthuses Martin Hackl. Fronius Eco – the compact project inverter for the highest yields The three-phase, transformerless Fronius Eco fulfils the requirements for large-scale photovoltaic systems. Its low weight and the SnapINverter mounting system enable a simple and quick installation, indoors and out. This inverter range sets new standards with its IP 66 protection class. Its integrated string fuse holders and the optional overvoltage protection mean string collection boxes are no longer necessary. The Fronius Eco will be available in the 25 and 27 kVA power categories from the second quarter of 2015. Fronius Datamanager 2.0 already fitted as standard Fronius Datamanager 2.0, the solution for professional data management and system monitoring, will be fitted as standard in all Fronius SnapINverters from January 2015. The configuration wizard makes commissioning system monitoring a straightforward process. The Modbus interface enables a Fronius Smart Meter to be connected directly. Since autumn 2014, the Fronius Datamanager 2.0 has also been available as a retrofit version, in the form of a plug-in card or box. New features, such as the extended energy management system and the practical Fronius Push Service used to send system data to other servers, complete the functional scope of the new generation of data loggers. Repowering, the Fronius solution for modernising PV systems Thousands of PV systems have been contributing significantly towards the generation of solar power for years. Many of these systems are now dated and could be upgraded using new devices. Thanks to the innovative design, Fronius inverters can also replace devices from other manufacturers flexibly without requiring additional time and effort for installation. The devices are suitable for all system sizes, from a single-family home to a megawatt installation in the industrial sector.
