The new Case wirefeeder

Individual, compact, portable and robust - the new generation of Case wirefeeders for the TPS/i, TransSteel and TPS power sources. Whether facing specialist challenges in shipbuilding, offshore installations, rolling stock manufacturing or any other industry, the Case wirefeeders are fully equipped and are not the least bit fazed by tropical rain, high humidity, pollution or the like. The newly developed interconnecting hosepack proves handy for the user by enabling a fast connection. On the WF 25i Case (TPS/i) and VR 5000 Case (TransSteel) versions, a sturdy bayonet connector acts as a strain-relief device for the interconnecting hosepack. Both models are also available as an optional pigtail variant with fixed connection sockets including cables for the power cable and control line. A mechanical strain-relief device is integrated in the VR 4000 Case (TPS). Distances of up to 70 metres between the gas-cooled power source and the welding workplace are possible. On the wirefeeders for the TPS/i and TransSteel power sources, tilt-up side covers on both sides provide optimum access to the wirespool, the motor plate and the interconnecting hosepack connectors. Skid runners are also integrated in the side covers, which offer flexibility for the application - irrespective of whether the unit is being used in an upright position or on its side. An on/off switch (power switch) on the wirefeeder guarantees safe transport by interrupting the circuit (off). Each device in the new wirefeeder generation is available as a D200 (weight 9.5 kg) and D300 (weight 14.8 kg) version.
