Expert Engine Rebuild Service

Due to our expert capabilities here at Ilmor we are able to offer our clients a full engine rebuild service. Any engine, no matter it's specification, whether it be road car, marine, or any level of racing, can be fully disassembled, internal components inspected, cleaned and renewed as required and the engine rebuilt. Our extensive, non-destructive testing and component wash facilities allow us to handle all manner of engine rebuilding tasks in our spacious build area, operated and maintained by only the most proficient and highly trained staff using the very latest technologies. These high spec facilities are fundamental to the high precision assembly of our racing engines. Building racing engines is an entirely different process to series production, as the engines are assembled and disassembled many times. At each service, it is essential to make the expert decision as to which components to reuse. Here at Ilmor we take this process very seriously and monitor the mileage of every critical component in the engine and base our decisions on the known or predicted lives of each part. Component histories and critical build dimensions are comprehensively recorded in our own custom database, to allow rapid information retrieval. As components wear or reach the end of their life this is fed back directly to the designer to ensure that continual design improvements are made in order to increase engine life and reduce rebuild costs.
