When parts with stable designs and high volume requirements are required, it is often more economically viable and effective to use castings rather than machined-from-solid components. This is why here at Ilmor a great deal of the structural components used in our elite racing engines are machined from castings and as such we understand exactly what is required to machine castings to a high-precision and high-quality standard of quality and performance.
