Magnetic Particle Inspection Services

Magnetic particle inspection (MPI) is able to be used for the detection of surface as well as near-surface flaws within ferromagnetic materials. Using a permanent magnet, electromagnet, flexible cables or hand-held prods a magnetic field can be applied to the item under test. If a flaw is apparent then the magnetic flux is distorted and 'leaks'.
