The portable filter unit is designed to be used with 304mm ducting and a 300mm 6 ventilation fan. It has 200 litres capacity, a handle and wheels for mobility, plus removable ends. An overall filtration of 97 % can be for either extraction or ventilation, but you must check that the direction of airflow is into the pre-filter bag first. There are two filter bags: (a) the main filter bag and (b) the pre-filter bag. It is not recommended to store the filter in wet or humid conditions.

The filter capacity varies considerably depending upon the type and size of the dust particle, and if the material is wet and/or the humidity of the air is high.

After a period of use the airflow will reduce to a point where not enough air is being extracted and when this happens the air filter needs emptying. To empty the filter, remove the duct connector end and lift out the pre-filter bag carefully. The contents should be disposed of carefully and responsibly. It may be possible to re-use the pre-filter bag for a second time if it is still in good condition, without any holes or tears. The main filter bag should also be removed and emptied if required, please shake carefully. As and when the main filter bag becomes clogged it can be carefully washed.
