Convolute Finishing Wheels

Applications: Convolute wheels are used to put fine finishes on metal. They work particularly well on stainless steel and hard alloys to which they can add considerable value by removing surface coatings and scatches and applying beautiful satin finishes, They are the wheel of choice for premium fitting such as stainless steel door handle, yacht fitments and taps. They are also used for engineering finishes in aerospace and and other industries using hard alloys. Typically, they are used on stationery parallel shaft machines held with clamping flanges. We thus offer them with standard 25.4mm (1") or 76mm (3") centres. The 150x12x25.4mm size can, however, be used on the Finiteasy machine.Grade 1 wheels give the finest satin finishes. These wheels are also firmer and denser. The high grades are softer and more conformable, such that grade 4 is soft enough to be profiled, perhaps to finish arcs or channels. The grade 4 is offered coarse (4C) or medium (4M) for brushed or satin finishes. Specification: Made with non-woven abrasive re-processed and rolled. Available in grades 1 (hard, very fine) to 4 (softer, medium or coarse). For use on rotating shaft machines where the work-piece can be safety applied.
