Ron Thompson Machinery Co. Limited was established in 1982 being founded by Ron Thompson who worked previously in the machine tool business for famous names such as English Steel, Churchill Machine Tool Company, Rockwell Machine Tool, Giddings & Lewis-Fraser and Alfred Herbert.
Mark Thompson joined the company in 1985 having previously worked for Lucas Aerospace in various engineering roles.
Mark is a very experienced Machine Tool Dealer and is now Managing Director.
We buy and sell all types of metal cutting machinery, from 2 axis CNC lathes to multi-axis turning and machining centres, production machinery and tool-room machinery.
We deal with PLC listed companies, large and small privately owned OEM’s and sub-contractors. Working with Directors, Production Managers, Production Engineers, Maintenance Managers etc.
We are always keen to buy machines for stock and also to sell equipment for you on a commission basis. We also undertake complete factory purchases and disposals as well as plant valuation work.
We have reliable contacts in finance, machine tool installation, commissioning, repair, rebuilding and operator training. We have access to a database of experienced and careful machinery movement and transport companies.
All machines are offered either Checked over As-Is, Overhauled, Reconditioned or Fully Rebuilt.
