Corona Statement

07-10-2020

COVID-19 – A Message to our Customers Following on from Government statements issued over the last few days, I just want to take this opportunity to assure you that St Ann’s Sheet Metal will remain open and will continue producing for our customers, for as long as we are allowed to do so, to comply with legislation and to protect our Staff, Customers & Everyone. In order to do this, we are taking every step necessary to support our staff and to ensure their safety during this period. All staff who are able to work from home are already doing so, and we are following Government guidelines and more for Social Distancing in the workplace, by implementing measures to ensure our employees are working with a minimum of 2 metres between each other, in the office and on the factory floor. We believe it is vitally important that we can continue to provide a safe working environment for our employees whilst at the same time providing a continued service to our customers. We are aiming to try and keep the wheels of industry turning during these incredibly difficult times! In addition to these measures, we are also implementing the following changes to working practices with the aim of limiting exposure to our employees. From Monday 30th March, for the next 2 weeks, we will be moving to a 4 day week. All our staff will be working the same number of hours, so as not to affect production output, but our employees will have now also have 3 days a week where they can stay at home. However this may change as Legislation and Advice come in from Uk Government which we are monitoring constantly. We are also reviewing the possibility of extending the Easter shutdown this year. At present we close for Easter on Monday 13th April and Tuesday 14th April, but it is possible we may remain closed for the rest of that week in order for our employees to be at home. This situation will be reviewed in the coming days and any changes, should they happen, will be communicated to everybody early next week. Thank you very much for your continued support and understanding. Please take care and stay safe. Richard Atkin, General Manager St Anns Sheet Metal Company Ltd
