Nash Blower Gearboxes
Nash gearboxes were supplied to nuclear power stations on blower drives. They were manufactured by Babcock Gears of Bolton. We offer a gearbox refurbishment service with new gears and bearings to the original specification. The gearboxes are tested for backlash and bearing end float. The gearboxes are then run at full speed for 4 hours to test for temperature rise, noise and vibration. Test certificates are supplied. Alternatively we can supply kits of parts form bearings and seals to gear and shaft sets, with gear test certificates. We also supply a guide to reassembly and correct setting of the bearings.Visit the Shackleton Engineering website for more information on Nash Blower Gearboxes
