Shot peening is a cold working process designed to dimple the surface of the metal, we use compressed air to impact the surface with shot, adding to the working life of the component, also developing the resistance of metal fatigue.

The method we shot peen is similar to that of shot blasting but instead of abrasion metal removal the shot acts as a ball peen hammer which makes a dimple within a dimple.
