Also manufactured by edge-winding with no special tooling charges, snap rings have been specified for lots of years in the automotive and heavy equipment industries as a standard choice for engineers. Special or custom made designs can be produced quickly and economically utilising Smalley’s precision no-tooling cost production process. Snap rings can withstand very high forces and impact loads and are readily installed and removed from their internal or external grooves for field servicing.
