Verder make debut at Offshore Europe Expo 2015

06-01-2016

Verder UK appear at their first Offshore Europe exhibition, showcasing their services and products The bi-annual Offshore Europe Expo was in Aberdeen this month, transforming the venue and city into a bustling hive of activity with local organizations specializing in services for the offshore industry and exhibitors from across the world, networking and introducing themselves accordingly. Among the 1500 exhibitors was Verder UK, making their debut at the show to show off their range of pumps and services for various processes in the oil and gas sector. The Verder UK team exhibited the Verdermag range of mag drive centrifugal pumps - A prerequisite for the leak-free transfer of oils and chemicals including hazardous, corrosive and poisonous acids. A high pressure model was on display, giving the opportunity for customers to see the substantial build and design for the circulation of oils and brine solutions up to 200 bar system pressure, which is commonly required in fast-loop systems. Many customers were intrigued by the Verderair Pure, principally as they couldn't believe a pump could be so compact and simple, yet handle some of the most aggressive chemicals possible. The fact that it is machined from a single block of 100% pure PTFE or PE material with no metallic parts come into contact with the process fluid or indeed the environment gave plant operators extra confidence in specifying the pump for chemical transfer and injection where other pumps would suffer from corrosion. Finally, perhaps new to a lot of customers was screw-channel pump technology for the handling of sludge/slurry process effluent and flowable viscous oils containing debris. The Verderhus screw-channel pump has an open corkscrew-like impeller creating a hybrid centrifugal/positive displacement principle, creating an excellent capacity of a positive displacement pump for handling viscous sludge with solids up to 160mm with the efficiency of a centrifugal pump. Having met customers from process engineering, specialist system builders, oil extraction, chemical manufacture, water companies and more, the Verder team were very pleased they could speak to customers about their products and increase their knowledge of their customers processes and find answers for pumping problems they had been experiencing. If you have these same pumping problems it may be time to give Verder a call on 01924 221 001 to speak to our pump specialists located at our offices in Castleford. Paul and Graham both have over 30 years experience in specifying pumps and work with product designers with an indepth knowledge of different pump technologies and can advise of the best solution for you. Alternatively, our team of field sales representatives can call-in to your premises at your convenience to see your process first-hand and recommend a pump for your system.
