Altitude Chambers

Airbus is one of the world’s leading aircraft manufacturers consistently capturing approximately half or more of all orders for airliners with more than 100 seats.Weiss Technik UK installed and commissioned a new Altitude Test Chamber for Airbus. The chamber was built by Weiss Technik UK to an Airbus specification. The ‘smart’ chamber is capable of producing a range of conditions such as:Low temperature (+100°C to -70°C)Low pressures (down to10mbara)The working volume is approximately 1m³ with the chamber being able to be programmed to carry out automatic environmental profiles. The chamber was also configured to email the customer if an unexpected change occurs.The chamber has the added advantage of being rated for hazardous area zone 2 and suitable for accepting tests involving aircraft fuel.Our Altitude Test Chambers can also be used for automotive testing for the measurement of performance, exhaust emission and fuel consumption of combustion engines at different altitudes.
