Characterised by its suitability for nitriding which can give the it a hard wear resistant case of 61-65Rc. The low temperature of the nitriding process produces components with a scale free surface and with minimum distortion during the heat treatment process. 722M24 flat bar may be used for applications and components where a high tensile steel strength is required.
