Sand Casting

The sand casting process can be one of the most versatile casting methods and is able to be used for the manufacture of prototypes in addition to regular production runs. In the main we use aluminium however other special alloys can be used. This process is able to be used in order to prove the component design or where the initial projected volumes are going to be low and will not at this stage justify the higher tooling costs of gravity or pressure die casting.
