Copper Plating Line

Following on from discussions with existing and prospective customers the company is pleased to confirm the commissioning of a new Copper plating line at is Kelso facility. Deputy Managing Director, John McDowell said, “the plating facility is a key part of our strategy to provide the “end to end” service that many of our customers are now looking for”. He went on to say that “the new line would be complemented by an Electroless Nickel line and Fisher XRF system in the very near future. We now have one of the most comprehensive plating capabilities in the country and that in conjunction with the paint shop supporting our punching, milling and press shop business means we can genuinely talk to customers about reduced lead times and improved quality control”. The Copper line enables BPEL to apply Copper on to Aluminium using both Copper Cyanide and Electroless Nickel substrates depending on customer requirements.
