CPL invests in Quality

26 August 2014 The Milling Department at CPL extends over 12,000 square foot and is home to around thirty state of the art CNC machines. CPL manufactures precision engineered components and parts for a global market and has a well-earned reputation for excellence. The Inspection Unit is a critical function in the production workflow and CPL have undertaken a significant refurbishment to support ever increasing demand. “ With so much deadlined work coming through the company it is essential our layout matches the workflow path and delivers efficiencies at every possible juncture. The redesign of the Milling Unit supports the flow of work from shop floor to Inspection, then through to Deburring and out to the Stores for rapid delivery.” explains Andy Wierny, Quality Manager. “We have invested in new machines in the Inspection Unit too so the additional space is another benefit. The Deburring Unit is being remodelled to ensure the best ergonomic environment and allow for finished products to speed off the benches and out for delivery. I am really pleased with the changes and know our customers will see the benefits”.
