Intec Laser Gears Up For High Volume Production

The start of 2013 has see a few changes for Intec all brought about by a circa £1M investement securing the installation of a brand new twin head water-jet cutting machine and a state of the art fully automated 6kW laser cutting cell. The new Twin Head Bystronic Water-Jet is a more compact and user friendly machine than our previous and sits nicely in the corner of our Tube Laser Cutting bay and our old machine has been reloacted elsewhere within the group making room for the automated laser cutting machine in bay 2 of our factory. The new 6kW laser has placed us right up there with the best of them, the machine will cut cleanly through 25mm Mild Steel, 15mm Stainless Steel and 12mm Aluminium. The automation allows us to load the pallet tower full of materials according to our particular work schedule, once the tower is loaded with material we simply program the order in which we want to produce the work and let the machine do the res. Our intention is to run the machine 24 hours per day with a few hours each week set aside for weekly routine maintenance. The 6kW's of power coupled with the automation will allow us to cut components quicker and cleaner and reduce our lead time, all without compromising on quality or price to our customers.
