Metpro’s ‘First Lady’ of Warehousing - July 2014

Kim Morgan has been promoted to Warehouse Manager of Metpro Limited, the Oldbury based supplier of metal components to Industry. It is in recognition of her outstanding abilities to organise 22,000 feet of warehouse space with over 6,000 products looking after 7 colleagues at the company. In an industry and environment often dominated by men, Kim’s achievements since joining Metpro almost 4 years ago have been outstanding. She oversees a team that handled over 4,000 tonnes of goods last year, shipping over 3,000 pallets and 25,000 parcels to customers all over the UK. Kim helped establish working systems within ISO9001 that lead to picking accuracy levels of 99.99%! Kim thinks that a happy working environment is the key to her success, ‘Everyone enjoys working here and are treated as valuable members of the team. I don’t ask anyone to do a task that I wouldn’t do myself ’. ‘I motivate my team to keep errors to a minimum, but it should be fun as well’. Managing Director Arthur Rudge commented,’ Kim’s enthusiasm, hard work and organisational skills have been a large contribution to Metpro’s growth, which has been 10% year on year since Kim started with us and her promotion is well deserved’.
