Large northern police custody suite are taking advantage of the interlocking feature of the mid span bridge. Any one of the 8 Mid Span Bridge POE ports can be configured so that if the door monitor is opened on a port, any "associated" port wiil signal a red led at the readers and prevent access (this indicates to users that the air lock is in use". The third party air lock that was fitted did not perform so the Borer feature was used and it works like a dream. With the MSB you can interlock 2 to 16 doors. The unit also allows for a four position key switch to be connected to provide "Normal access control" - "Lock Down" - "Unlock Doors" and "interlocking Doors".
