Established in 1995, Schofield Contracting Limited is a dynamic and successful multi-disciplinary civil engineering company. With its headquarters at new offices in York, the Company employs over 20 staff, working on a range of projects in the north of England.
The Company prides itself on the ability to work within live environments with as little disruption as possible to the public and the client, whilst also maintaining safety to the highest standard. It is committed to providing the highest quality service to clients, fully understanding the need to complete projects on time.
The Company acknowledges that the key to these safety and quality aspects is having fully trained and experienced staff who are committed to their work. Schofield is therefore proud to have been accredited in 2006 with the IIP (Investors in People) quality standard, which ensures that all employees are given continuous opportunities to train and develop their skills. All staff hold CSCS and CPCS cards where appropriate, and each individual's training plan includes an annual appraisal and opportunities to further develop skills in, for example, first aid, confined spaces, abrasive wheels, ground support, NRSWA, SMSTS and SSTS .
As well as its extensive commitment to staff training, the Company's systems and accreditations confirm the importance that is placed on quality. Schofield Contracting is a member of the Civil Engineering Contractors Association (CECA) and is also registered with the Contractors Health and Safety Accreditation Scheme (CHAS). In addition, the Company is currently working towards the ISO9001:2000 certification, the internationally recognised standard for an organisation's quality procedures.
