Happy Thanksgiving 2014

November 25, 2014 – Barrington, N.H. (U.S.A.) – God said to them, Be fruitful and multiply and fill the earth and subdue it and have dominion over the fish of the sea and over the birds of the heavens and over every living thing that moves on the earth. Staff of the Grace Medical ClinicJesus taught us to pray thus: Our Father in heaven, hallowed be your name. Your kingdom come, your will be done, on earth as it is in heaven. Taken together, these directives from the Bible connect our daily work and industry to God’s ultimate purpose for us to worship and enjoy him in eternity, doing his will, and under his rule and authority. One mountainous nation heard and obeyed these messages. Its rivers have been tamed and channeled for power, irrigation, fisheries, and transportation. It is a model of a peaceful people living in health and prosperity. Another mountainous nation did not. Its rivers rampage through communities, destroying roads, houses, and fields. It is consumed by war, sickness, and poverty. At TURBOCAM, we buy valuable precision machinery from the first nation, Switzerland, while investing in schools, flood-proof houses, clean water, and a clinic in the other, Nepal. In America and Europe, our aero engine and turbomachinery products have grown hundreds of new stable jobs, and many are being trained to fill them. A program called “Character First” is helping us to recognize excellent attributes we find in people. We heartily recommend it. The message of “fill the earth and subdue it, and make it like heaven” is relevant all over the world, putting hope in the hearts of many who have previously sat back and allowed the currents of despair to flood over them. We have enjoyed building with you this year as you have shared your challenges with us and allowed us to participate in subduing them. Inspired and reminded by this season, we thank God for you.
