BLACK BARN, REDHILL - HYDRAULIC SYNCHRONISED LIFTING SYSTEM USED TO LIFT HOUSE +1.5 METRES 29th July 2015
04-08-2016
Hydra Capsule have successfully lifted an entire steel-frame and timber barn over +1.50 metres to avoid the potential risk of further flooding within the Redhill area.
Hydra Capsule designed, supplied and carried out the complete works from installation of temporary propping supports connected to steel needling beams to ensure that the jacking system and support steelwork craddle would accommodate the anticipated lift. The systems consisted of 28 x 50 tonnes long stroke cylinder with a mechanical locking collars device, with a "jack and pack" system to allow re-packing and lifting operations to the defined level.
The works involved pre-loading a defined jacking force into steel-girder framework to ensure the barn support could be cut / freed prior to the lifting operation. The lifting works were successfully completed in 4 lifting days.
Furthermore, this works are similar to another project Hydra Capsule completed, lifting a complete 5 bedroom brick-built house +1.5 metres which was documented on Sky News, BBC One Show. Below is a time-lapse of how our synchronised lifting system can be used in numerous different applications.Visit the Hydra-Capsule Ltd website for more information on BLACK BARN, REDHILL - HYDRAULIC SYNCHRONISED LIFTING SYSTEM USED TO LIFT HOUSE +1.5 METRES 29th July 2015
