Magors Sister Goes 3 Up! It Is Millennium First

Precision toolmakers Nidum Precision Sister division to Magor Designs, is investing heavily in developing new engineering talent at the Resolven site it shares with the Magor design studio. Nidum has 3 local lads in the Modern Apprenticeship programme with Neath Port Talbot College. A level of talent investment not seen since the nineties. Nidum’s three Millennium Protégés are: Scott Lloyd, 21 from Llwydcoed, Aberdare. Formally of Aberdare Boys Comp. Successfully completed his Modern Apprenticeship with Nidum on 1st September. Has just commenced A Foundation Degree Course in Mechanical Engineering at Swansea University. New man Jordan Williams, 17 of Brynhyfryd, Swansea. Formally of Llangatwg Community School. Completed the Foundation engineering Course at Neath College this summer and commences his Modern Apprenticeship studies next week. Luke Jones, 20 of Brynhyfryd, Swansea. Formally of Amman Valley Comprehensive. Luke joined Nidum on completion of his Foundation in Engineering Course and is now in Year 2 of his Modern Apprenticeship. Jason Morris, Team Leader has taken responsibility for co-ordinating the Apprentice Development programme. “The lads are doing well, thanks to a lot of effort on their part and great support from my fellow Toolmakers here at Nidum. The practical skills learnt with us balance well with the college based programme at Neath College.
