Luke Hardwick Trophy

04-10-2015

The ‘Luke Hardwick 6-A-Side Memorial Trophy’ took place on the afternoon of Friday the 26th September at the Pitz Football Arena in Sheffield. The event, in memorial to Luke Hardwick who tragically lost his life in a car accident, saw several teams from GLIDE inc. PMS Diecasting, Loadhog, and Laser Scanning, play off against each other to raise awareness of Brake, the road safety charity. At one stage PMS brought on super-sub Óskar Sölvason, who with beginners luck put one in the back of the net with his first touch. “Normally he can’t hit a cows a**e with a cricket bat” exclaimed one of the astounded players. The overall winning team and winner of the Luke Hardwick Memorial Trophy for 2015 came from Loadhog. Sy Hardwick, Machine Setter at PMS Diecasting and older brother of Luke said.. ” Just want to say the biggest thank you to every one that came and played or even watched, it means so much boys! Kyle Frier, Danny Burrell, Ben Scott, Dave Ford, Ronalds Rubenis, Óskar Sölvason, Rob Jefferson, Pete Wright, Luke, Keiran, Toby, Matt and Richard thank you…would also like to say an extra thank to our referees Craig Reading and Darryl Gregory Ford. Proppa good lads thank you! To Luke Hardwick loved and remembered every day!” Download the original full-size photos – CLICK HERE (will be deleted 7th October)
