New Apprentices Join the Team

The Bri-Stor Group have recruited 8 new apprentices from the local Staffordshire area in connection with Midlands based training provider Performance Through People. The school leavers joined Bri-Stor’s apprentice scheme last week and have been undergoing inductions into the various sections of the companies businesses, working standards, health and safety. Bri-Stor have conducted yearly intakes of apprentices from the local area since 2010. The scheme will involve time working in a range of areas of the businesses both office based as well as time in the factory and assembly areas. This working time will be combined with day release for study at college. Each of the 8 apprentices have been allocated a mentor within the Bri-Stor businesses to offer them support in their new apprenticeships. The talented 8, who responded to advertisements, poster and social media campaigns promoting the vacancies in Hixon and the surrounding towns, were short-listed after submitting applications, completing tests and attending interviews. Jason Till, Bri-Stor Manager & Apprentice Mentor commented of the scheme, “Building an Apprenticeship programme that delivers to its maximum potential is highly relevant to increasing the chances of meeting our groups future challenges successfully.
