Phase two of expansion now complete!

New Additional Engineering Office & Board Room now completed!! We have recently completed the Mezzanine Floor and Office expansion within the existing factory space. These works were made possible via a grant from the Birmingham City Council (BCC) under the Property Assistance and Key Opportunities Funding Programme following a successful council bid to the European Regional Development Fund (ERDF). Following an almost year long process, the second phase of the project was completed shortly before the Christmas Holidays. The first phase was the purchase of a new 5 Axis Machining Centre that we reported on last year. - See “CTR announce a new arrival” - June 2013 The additional offices provide for a CAD/ CAM Room to complement and support the expanding CNC Milling facility together with a Training / Board Room that was desperately required as a means to facilitating ongoing Learning & Development plans as well as a focal showcase for business meetings and customer engagement.The Office extension provides for direct access to the shop floor without having to “brave the elements” as previously endured! This particular funding programme has supported and enhanced our own Investment plans and provided business growth leading to the engagement of two additional direct job positions. Shortly before Christmas, we were pleased to learn that our application under the “Green Bridge Supply Chain Programme (GBSCP) as administered by BCC on behalf of the Department for Business Innovation and Skills / Regional Growth Fund was successful. This area of funding is aimed at developing and growing qualifying SME companies operating in the green economy and provides financial grant support in a number of areas including capital investment. We have a significant improvement project on the table for this year and by courtesy of this programme, it will help us strengthen our stance and enhance our penetration into the fast emerging and rapidly growing energy / green sectors.
